Boston Bombing 15/04/13

As some of you have heard, there had been a bombing incident that happened at the Boston Marathon today, around 4PM EST. Two blasts were heard right after some runners were finishing the marathon, leaving three dead, and over 120 people injured. Among the killed, was an eight-year old boy. From what I have heard, there had been 10 amputations already, and over dozens still unknown. Its a tragic event for a day that was supposed to be happy.

My hearts and prayers go to the families and victims at the explosion site.

I heard about this. Completely horrifying. I can't even fathom how anyone would be able to do this. But like Mr. Rogers said, !1Look for the helpers. There are always people helping.!1 My condolences and prayers go to the families as well. Stay strong. ♥

I have heard about this too. The mother of the eight year old boy undergoes brain surgery and his sisters legs was blown clean off. Very saddening. My prayers to them as well. It is sad to lose a family member and have to experience such horrifying events.

I heard about the bombing. My heart goes out to all the injured and mourning. It's a tragic attack... Any attack is, but I pray that nothing worse becomes of this event and the injured and grieving will finally find peace...

Thanks for posing this Lilia. This really needs to be put out there. My heart goes out to all those who are there and who are recovering. Nothing like this should happen at such a family and world event. Sad

A moment of silence for them and I hope they find out who did this.

This weekend I had the opportunity to take a trip to Boston and help out however I could. There were so many people helping there, it was beautiful. I am so proud to be part of such a strong country.
When we went, the city was literally in lock-down mode. People couldn't even use their cell phones for fear it'd set a bomb off. Very scary stuff. But it was so rewarding and everyone seemed to be recuperating well. Just wanted to share my little experience! ^^

Awwe, River, that sounds amazing. I have been losing and gaining faith in humanity, and hearing that just made me regain all trust there. I'm glad that everything is going just fine in Boston. Thanks for sharing <3

River, that's great, I hope you enjoyed it. I'm glad people aren't totally off the deep endquite yet. There is still hope. But man, everywhere I look, I see death, and senseless killing. It's so discouraging sometimes . Humanity can be so cruel and I wonder why bother keep living.
